01 Overview
Medicine & Health Reminder ("the App") helps users manage medicine schedules, health reminders, and personal medical records. User privacy is the core principle of this application — your health data stays on your device.
02 Information We Collect
The App may store the following information:
- Medicine schedules and reminder settings
- Health-related notes and records
- Medical images or attachments added by the user
- App preferences and settings
- Dose history log (taken, snoozed, or missed — stored locally on device only)
- Health Tracker entries — weight/BMI, blood pressure, and blood sugar readings (stored locally on device only)
By default, all information is stored locally on the user's own device only. The App does not upload or store user data on developer-owned servers.
If the user chooses to sign in with Google and use the optional backup feature, backup data is stored only inside the user's own private Google Drive AppData folder. This is completely optional and requires explicit user consent.
03 Google Sign-In & Drive Access
The App optionally allows users to sign in with Google to backup and restore their medicine reminders and health records.
The App uses the Google Drive drive.appdata scope only. This means:
- Data is stored privately in the user's own Google Drive account
- Data is not shared with third parties
- Data is not sold
- Only the user can access their backup data
- The App cannot access general Google Drive files, photos, videos, or documents
Automatic backup (added in v1.3.6)
Automatic backup is off by default. Nothing is ever uploaded until you sign in with Google and switch it on yourself, and you can switch it off again at any time from the Google Drive Backup screen.
When it is switched on, the App backs up roughly once a week, and how much it uploads depends on the connection in use at that moment:
- On Wi-Fi (unmetered): your medicines, health tracker entries and medical record photos are all backed up.
- On mobile data (metered): only your medicines and health tracker entries are backed up. Medical record photos are deliberately held back until you are next on Wi-Fi, so that a background backup can never quietly consume your mobile data allowance.
Tapping Back up now yourself is different: because you asked for it explicitly, it always uploads everything, including record photos, on whatever connection you are using. Photos already saved in Drive are skipped, so repeat backups stay small.
The App may also show an optional reminder notification if you have chosen manual backups and have not backed up for a while. This is a local notification only — nothing is transmitted.
Deleting your backup
You can permanently delete the App's backup from your Google Drive at any time, directly inside the App, using Delete backup from Drive on the Google Drive Backup screen. This removes the backup files from your Drive account; data stored on your phone is not affected. You may also sign out at any time, which immediately stops all further backup activity.
05 User Control
- Users may use the app without Google Sign-In
- Users may revoke Google account access anytime through Google Account settings
- Users may delete all backups from Google Drive directly within the App
- Users may uninstall the app to remove all local device data
06 Permissions Used
- Internet access — backup and restore via Google Drive only
- Notifications and alarms — medicine reminder alerts
- Camera and media/storage access — medical image attachments
- Boot completed — automatically restore reminders after device restart
- Exact alarm scheduling — ensure reminders fire at precise times
07 Data Retention
Backup data remains in the user's own Google Drive account until the user chooses to delete it. The App developer does not retain copies of user backup data.
08 Advertising
This application does not display advertisements and does not use any advertising SDKs. No user data is used for advertising purposes.
09 Children's Privacy
This application is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10 Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in the App or applicable regulations. Users will be informed of significant changes via app update release notes. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
