02 What stays on your phone

• Maps you open: a copy of each map you open for measuring is kept in the app's private storage, with the plots you draw, their names (for example dag numbers), the scale you set and your settings such as the language.
• Downloaded maps: maps you download are saved in your phone's Downloads folder, under "Mouza Plot", where you and other apps can see them. The app keeps a list of what you downloaded so you can open those maps again.
• Google map plots: the outlines and lines you draw on the Google map (their corner positions as latitude and longitude, and their names), your land unit settings, and where the map was last shown.
• Show on satellite map: the landmarks you mark on a Mouza map, where you matched them on the earth (latitude and longitude, picked on the satellite map or taken from your phone's GPS while you stand there), their names, and any adjustment you make to the placed plots. They are kept with that map.
• Previews: a map you preview is kept for a while in the app's cache (at most 300 MB), so looking at it again or downloading it needs no second transfer. Android may clear this cache at any time.

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else.

03 When the app uses the internet

To browse and download Mouza maps, to show the Google map, and to open the government land services you choose. When you open a folder, preview a map or download one, the app asks a public server that hosts the scanned maps for that folder or file: "Source 1" or "Source 2", whichever you choose on the Download tab. Neither server is run by us. Like any website, each receives the technical details every internet request carries: your IP address, the time, what was asked for, and the app's name and version. The app sends nothing else: no identifiers, no location, no information about you or your plots.

Measuring on a Mouza map works without internet.

04 The Google map tab

This tab shows Google's map and satellite images through Google Maps (the Maps SDK for Android, provided by Google). To show the map, Google receives the requests for the map images of the area you look at. According to Google, the Maps SDK also collects technical information: your IP address, device details (such as model and Android version), crash reports from the map, a pseudonymous identifier used to count Maps users, and map interactions such as panning and zooming. Google handles this under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

• Your location: if you allow it, the app reads your phone's location on the phone, to show where you are, to open the map there, and to add a GPS point when you ask. The app does not send your location to us or to anyone else. You can refuse, or turn it off at any time in Android settings; the tab still works without it.
• Place search: a place name you type is looked up by your phone's own location service (on most phones provided by Google), which receives the text you typed. Coordinates you type, such as 23.81, 90.41, are handled on the phone.
• The plots and lines you draw are not sent to Google or to us. They stay on your phone unless you share them.
• Show on satellite map (on a Mouza map's menu) uses the same Google map, and your location only when you tap GPS to match a landmark, or to show how far away a landmark is. Your plots and landmarks are drawn on the map on your phone; they are not sent to Google or to us.

05 Government land services (Tools tab)

The Tools tab, and the Khatian button on a plot, open official services of the Government of Bangladesh that you choose. The app sends them nothing about you; what you do there is between you and that service, under its own terms.

• Official apps: if you choose, the app opens the Ministry of Land's own apps, or their Google Play pages. Those apps follow their own privacy policies.
• Websites open in your browser (a Chrome tab shown over the app), except the DLRMS khatian search below.
• DLRMS khatian search inside the app: the app shows the official DLRMS website (dlrms.land.gov.bd) in its own screen, and changes only how its lists are displayed, so they scroll on a phone. What you select or type there goes from your phone directly to DLRMS, not to us. DLRMS may keep its usual website data, such as cookies, in the app's private storage on your phone; clearing the app's data removes it. Signing in, the cart and payment always open in your browser instead, so your password, NID and payment details are never entered in this app.
• The Khatian button copies the plot's dag number to your phone's clipboard, so you can paste it. Nothing else is copied or sent.

The calculators (unit converter, share division, land price) work entirely on the phone.

06 Sharing and exporting

A PDF report, DXF file or shared measurement is created only when you ask for one. It goes only where you choose, for example a folder you pick, WhatsApp or e-mail. After that, the app you shared it with handles it under its own privacy policy. A measurement shared from the Google map includes its corner positions (latitude and longitude) and a Google Maps link to the place. A Google Earth file (KML or KMZ) from Show on satellite map contains the plots' names, areas and corner positions, and a KMZ also contains the part of the Mouza map around them.

A backup file (Settings > Back up maps and plots) is made only when you ask, and is saved only where you choose, such as Google Drive, a PC or a memory card. It contains your maps, plots, landmarks and Google map outlines. The app does not send it anywhere.

07 Permissions

• Location (precise and approximate), optional: for the Google map tab, to show where you are and to add GPS points. Used only while you use the app.
• Internet and network state: to list and download maps, and to check for Wi-Fi before a large download.
• Notifications: to show download progress and completion. You can refuse; downloads still work.
• Foreground service (data sync): so a long folder download can continue with the screen off.
• Storage (Android 8 and 9 only): to save downloaded maps in the Downloads folder. Newer Android versions need no storage permission.

08 Backup

If Android backup is turned on for your phone, Android may include this app's data (your maps list, plots and settings) in your phone's backup to your own Google account. This is controlled by your phone's settings, not by us, and we cannot see it.

09 Deleting your data

• Delete a map or plot inside the app.
• Remove downloaded maps from the Downloads/Mouza Plot folder with any file manager.
• Clear everything: Settings > Apps > Mouza Plot > Storage > Clear data, or uninstall the app. Downloaded maps in the Downloads folder stay until you delete them.

10 Children

The app is a general tool for landowners, buyers and professionals. It is not directed at children, and the app itself collects no information from anyone.

11 About the maps

Mouza Plot & Land Measure BD is an independent app. It is not made by, or connected with, the Government of Bangladesh or any land office. The maps are publicly available scans of government Mouza maps prepared by the Directorate of Land Records and Surveys (DLRS). Measurements from a scanned map are estimates and do not replace an official survey, a certified map or your land documents.

12 Changes

If the app ever adds something that handles information differently, such as advertising or paid subscriptions, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
